I have been asked repeatedly about Canon ink and the expiration dates. Per Canon, all ink has no

expiration date, as long as it is in the original packaging. Shake the ink cartridge vigorously before

installation, and all should be good. The expiration date is a federal requirement for products entering

the U.S.. Has no bearing on the ink quality.
